Saw this next to our apartment a week back......
I created this blog to share with the world my hobby of bird watching and wildlife. You will see mostly birds captured during my travels across India. Occasionally you might come across some wildlife and nature photography to keep it interesting. Hope you enjoy it !! Leave your comments.

Birds from the countryside of England
Happened to visit England last may and was staying at this British countryside at Luton Hoo. Took a few snaps of the birdlife in and around the lake very near to the place I was staying.

This Partridge just zoomed past before I could take a better shot.
Lot of coots in the lake a good family photo here:

And a beautiful Grebe here:

Birds near Hyderabad ( Narsapur)
Went for a Sunday birding trip to Narsapur on the way to Medak. Apparently there were lot of trees fruiting and we were hoping to catch a few glimpses of flycatchers.
We got to see silverbills, oriental white-eye, drongos and shrikes.
As we went near the dried riverbed we could catch a glimpse of Tickel's blue flycatcher, minivets and parakeets.
But the finale was when we could spot the Changeable hawk eagle sitting on a dry tree at the centre of a ground. posing with all its glory
Next to the lake we could spot pipits.
Next week we went to Pragati resort and could see the following:

Birds near Hyderabad ( Pocharam Lake)
Made my first exclusive birding outing in Feb with a few colleagues to Pocharam leak near Hyderabad. We were keen to catch the migratory birds and Flamingoes that usually visit this time of the year. Unfortunately there were none.
However we could catch quite a few resident birds on our way and back......
..... followed by a sumptuous breakfast at Medak :)

Birds of Rajasthan
Rather late in posting this trip update. Had my office offsite in Sangawan village in a desert resort called Desert trails very near to Jaipur. The resort happened to be a haven for birds ( being the only place with food and water I guess). This was early January and temperatures went sub zero at night.
I tried my 300mm f/2.8 for the first time. Here are the shots.
Never realized deserts usually have such rich variety of birds. A few shots in and around the place. A very productive 3 days :)
